April 27, 2008: The team was off this past Sunday at Utica-Rome's 358 Opener. Alan struggled in his heat before starting 21st in the Feature. He gradually moved ahead to finish 13th. Better luck this Sunday! April 19, 2008: Great Run for the team at Fonda! Alan started 6th in his heat and had the lead on the first lap exiting turn two. He later started 3rd in the feature and drove a super race in the top-3 all night long. He faded in the end to finish 5th against a stout bunch of drivers! April 12, 2008: Alan and team traveled to the Fonda Speedway this past Saturday to kickoff the 2008 racing season. After a weeks worth of terrible weather forecasting, Mother Nature came through for us. With the Small Block motor, the Parks Motorsports team was up against a field of Big Block teams. Luckily, a swift wind and a warm sun dried the track up in our favor and we were ready to go racing on the slick and smooth surface. Alan started 6th in the heat race that featured some of the best including, Jack Johnson, Matt DeLorenzo, Andy Bachetti, Dave Camara, Dave Lape, Brett Hearn among others. Alan went on to finish 5th behind Jumpin' Jack which would be one spot out of a qualifying position. He did however have Camara and Bachetti on his heels, so it sure turned out to be a pleasing run. Onto the consolation event, Alan started outside pole to Big-Block mod rookie Danny Varin. Alan picked up the lead on lap two and led the rest of the event. His qualifying efforts would pencil the No. 28 in the 17th starting position for the 40-lap Main. Alan ran a clean, trouble-free race for the entire distance and finished in the 15th spot. Next event for Alan looks to be either the Brewerton or Fulton Speedway with the Lance Kenyon Racing No. 22B Big Block. After that, it will be on to the Utica-Rome Speedway Opener with the Parks Trucking & Paving No. 28.
